Each Score Tablet Contains 500 mg Methocarbamol ,10 Film coated Tablet per blister pack,10 blister with a leaflet in a box.

 Mechanism of Action

Precise  mechanism of action has not been determined,these agent act in the central nervous system(CNS)rather than directly on skeletal muscle,the muscle relaxant effects of most of these agents maybe related to their CNS depressant effects.

• Elimination primary:renal/fecal

Pregnancy and breast feeding

FDA pregnancy category C and it is not known if methocarbamol is excreted into breast milk.but caution should be considered when methocarbamol is administered to a nursing woman.

Precautions

• Laboratory value alterations:(5HIAA) and (VMA)values may be falsely increased.
• Use with caution in patients with myasthenia gravis receiving anticholinesterase agents.

Drug interactions

Inform your doctor if you are any of the following medications: Alcohol;CNS depression-producing medication

Dosage and Administration

Usual adult and adolescent dose:

• Skeletal muscle relaxant:

Initial-oral,1.5 gr 4 times a day for the first 48 to 72 hr of therapy.for sever condition,8 gr a day may be administered initially.

Maintenance- oral,750 mg every 4 hr,1 gr 4 times a day or 1.5 gr 3 times a day.

  Note: if used as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of tetanus,via nasogastric tube,up to 24 gr a day depanding on patient response.

Usual Pediatric dose:

Side Effects:

Those indicating need for medical attention:

• More frequent: Dizziness or lightheadedness;Drowsiness;blurred or double vision or any change in vision.
• Less frequent:Dermatitis,allergic;fever;Headache;nausea or vomiting;
• Rare:Thrombophlebitis;Leukopenia;Hepatotoxicity;Angioedema;Hypersensetivity reaction specially Anaphylactic or anaphylactoid reaction;confusion;Heartburn
